Argentino Julio Argentino J. Seguí (1897-1984) was an Argentine lawyer and politician. He served as Minister of Justice and Public Instruction from 1943 to 1944, and as Minister of Foreign Affairs from 1944 to 1945. He was also a member of the National Academy of History. Seguí was born in Buenos Aires in 1897. He studied law at the University of Buenos Aires, and later served as a professor at the same university. He was also a member of the Argentine Bar Association. In 1943, Seguí was appointed Minister of Justice and Public Instruction by President Pedro Ramírez. In this role, he oversaw the reform of the Argentine education system. He also played a key role in the drafting of the new Argentine Constitution, which was adopted in 1949. In 1944, Seguí was appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs by President Edelmiro Farrell. In this role, he oversaw the negotiations that led to the establishment of diplomatic relations between Argentina and the Soviet Union.
