Dubai Consultation: PML-N Leaders Discuss Election Strategy
RecentPost

PML-N leaders convened a meeting in Dubai to deliberate on their political strategy for the upcoming elections, according to sources cited by ARY News on Monday.

Led by party leader Nawaz Sharif, the session primarily focused on political and legal matters. During the meeting, Nawaz Sharif assigned various party and election-related responsibilities to Maryam Nawaz. Additionally, he directed the formation of a committee tasked with drafting the election manifesto for the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz.

The PML-N decided to kickstart their election campaign from this month, planning a series of public meetings across the country. Addressing the concerns of the youth, Nawaz Sharif instructed senior party leaders to formulate the party's narrative, emphasizing issues such as easy loans and job opportunities for the younger generation.

In a recent meeting held in Dubai, PML-N and Pakistan People's Party (PPP) leaders reportedly reached an agreement on a "charter of economy" aimed at addressing the country's crisis. The discussion involved Nawaz Sharif, Asif Ali Zardari, and Bilawal Bhutto, who explored various political, economic, and electoral matters.

According to sources familiar with the matter, Nawaz Sharif and Asif Ali Zardari found common ground on most aspects of the charter of economy. However, no breakthrough was achieved in terms of forming an electoral alliance for the general elections. The final decision regarding the caretaker setup will involve consultations with other allied parties.

It is worth mentioning that the two parties have been at odds regarding the timetable for the next general election, following the dissolution of assemblies in August.
